Так, у грудні 2016-го американцям запропонували оцінити своє ставлення до РФ за стобальною шкалою (де 0 - дуже погане ставлення, а 100 балів - дуже добре). У результаті середній рівень симпатії до Росії склав 32 бали (при тому, що ще в червні 2016-го він становив сорок балів).

Схожий показник (31 бал) мав місце на початку перебудови в Радянському Союзі в 1986 році.

Соціологи вважають, що погіршення позицій Росії пов'язане з публікацією даних про російському втручання у виборчий процес в США.

Разом з тим, середня прихильність до Китаю у американців становить 41 бал, Мексики - 55, Канади - 76.
