Писатель Стивен Кинг превратит свой дом в городе Бангор (штат Мэн) в архив для писателей. Об этом пишет Forbes.

Кинг получил разрешение от властей города, чтобы реорганизовать свое поместье в некоммерческую организацию, которая будет содержать архивы его работ.

Поместье сможет принимать до пяти авторов единовременно. Доступ туда можно будет получить по предварительному запросу.

Отмечается, что в одном из двух домов будет храниться обширный архив рукописей, статей, фотографий, заметок, видео и аудиозаписей Стивена Кинга.

Чиновники Бангора подчеркнули, что семья Кинг "сделала много замечательного для города и пожертвовала миллионы долларов на различные цели в сообществе".

"Сохранение его наследия здесь, в Бангоре, важно для этого сообщества", – добавил городской советник Бен Спрэг.
