Компанія Amazon представила систему голосового управління Alexa.

Компанія Amazon пропонує всім бажаючим встановити свою систему голосового управління, яка називається Alexa, на свої пристрої. Раніше Alexa використовувалася винятково в керованому за допомогою голосу пристрої  Echo, але відтепер вона буде встановлюватися і на електронні книги Kindle, планшети та інші гаджети від компанії.

Amazon представить набір утиліт з розробки, деякі програмні інтерфейси, а також бюджет в 100 мільйонів доларів компаніям, які працюють із системами керування голосом. Таким чином Amazon сподівається залучити розробників до використання Alexa в своїх продуктах.

Компанія вже виділила суму, розмір якої не розголошується, для семи компаній. Вони займаються розробкою додатків для приготування їжі, пристроїв для занять фітнесом, системи моніторингу будинку, управління дверима гаража та деяких інших, в основі розробки яких лежить Alexa.
