25 апреля 2016 года Киевский городской центр занятости аннулировал разрешение на работу автору и ведущему ток-шоу Шустер LIVE. В знак протеста, Савик Шустер в прямом эфире объявил о начале голодовки, пока ему не вернут право на работу. Благодаря широкому общественному резонансу, уже на следующий день действие запрета было приостановлено, но не отменено. Таким образом, де-факто госорганы могут в любой удобный момент повторно запретить гражданину Италии и Канады работать в Украине, сообщается на странице канала 3S.tv в Facebook.

В интервью 112.ua Министр социальной политики Украины Андрей Рева прокомментировал ситуацию, сославшись на неточность в толковании старого и нового законов: «Решение принимал городской центр занятости. Я на тот момент работал несколько дней […] Есть один классик нашей политической мысли, который когда-то сказал ключевую фразу: «Текст немножко по-дебильному написан». То есть когда писали постановление, люди, которые писали, мыслили категориями старого Уголовно-процессуального кодекса»

Команда студии надеется, что суд внесёт ясность в ситуацию.

Рассмотрение административного дела о признании противоправным и отмене решения об аннулировании разрешения на трудоустройство состоится в Окружном административном суде города Киева (ул. Петра Болбочана, 8, корпус 1) в среду, 1 июня, в 15:00.
