Окружной суд в американском штате Пенсильвании не нашел оснований для пересмотра результатов голосования в регионе на президентских выборах. Об этом сообщает Интерфакс в воскресенье, 22 ноября.

Указано, что судья Мэтью Бранн в Уильямспорте признал аргументы команды президента США Дональда Трампа, инициировавшей иск, "безосновательными и спекулятивными". Он отметил, что не вправе лишать права голоса "даже одного избирателя, не говоря уже о миллионах граждан".

В решении суда отмечается, что иск команды Трампа отклонен "без права повторной подачи".

Ранее Верховный суд США удовлетворил требование республиканцев в Пенсильвании и постановил отделить бюллетени, которые были переданы на избирательные участки в штате уже после их закрытия 3 ноября. Об этом сообщила пресс-служба суда в пятницу, 6 ноября.

По данным СМИ, в Пенсильвании, которая даст победителю президентских выборов 20 голосов выборщиков, после обработки 96% бюллетеней демократ Джозеф Байден почти на 20 тысяч голосов опережает своего оппонента-республиканца Дональда Трампа (ранее сообщалось о разрыве в 5,5 тысячи голосов).
