Известный британский таблоид The Sun впервые за 44 года отказался публиковать на третьей странице фото девушки топлес.

Пятничное издание таблоида будет последним, где будет фото обнаженной девушки.Это решение принял владелец Руперт Мердок,пишет Новое время

Одной из причин смены политики издания называют критику со стороны борцов за права женщин, которые считают такую традицию оскорбительной и сексистской.

Дилан Шарп, глава издания по связям с общественностью написал в понедельник: "Страница №3 будет находится там же, где была всегда - между второй и четвертой".

Между тем сайт Page3.com, посвященный этой рубрике, не отступил от своей традиции из-за платного доступа.

Рубрика полуобнаженных девушек на третьей странице была представлена впервые в 1970 году, почти через год после приобретения газеты Мердоком. Эксперты считают, что рубрику могут вернуть, если будет зафиксирован значительный спад продаж.

Основанная в 1963 году газета The Sun широко известна благодаря публикации историй и слухов из мира шоу-бизнеса, индустрии развлечений и спорта. В среднем в день издание читает почти восемь миллионов человек.
