З 4 травня український англомовний новинний телеканал Ukraine Today (група «1+1 медіа») розширив кабельне покриття у Європі запуском у Німеччині. Про це повідомляє Телекритика.

Телеканал Ukraine Today доступний у основному кабельному пакеті провідного провайдера Німеччини Unitymedia, що є власністю Liberty Global.

Unitymedia присутня у 800 містах країни та забезпечує доступ до понад 7 мільйонів домогосподарств.

У прес-службі також повідомили, що команда Ukraine Today наразі працює над запуском російськомовної версії каналу, що дозволить протистояти «поширенню пропагандистських повідомлень українським ворогом».

«Німеччина - це стратегічно важлива для нас країна, так само, як Україна є стратегічно важливою і для Німеччини, і для Європи в цілому. Саме тому надзвичайно важливо, щоб ця аудиторія отримувала правдиву та неупереджену інформацію з нашого регіону. А запуск російськомовної версії, який ми запланували на літо, зробить наш канал цікавим не тільки англомовним жителям Європи, але й великій кількості російськомовного населення», - коментує новини каналу генеральний продюсер Ukraine Today Тетяна Пушнова.

Нагадаємо, Ukraine Today - це англомовний телеканал групи «1+1 медіа»,  спрямований на закордонну аудиторію. Телеканал стартував у серпні 2014 року. Ukraine Today мовить через один з найбільших супутників Європи HotBird. Онлайн-трансляція каналу доступна на офіційному сайті uatoday.tv та YouTube, а також у мобільних додатках Android та iOs. Також канал доступний у додатку для Samsung Smart TV та LG Smart TV. У листопаді 2014 року Ukraine Today уклав ліцензійну угоду з італійською платформою супутникового телебачення Tivusat. До кінця 2015 року канал планує розпочати трансляцію англомовної версії каналу на території Франції. Із 27 березня міжнародний Ukraine Today доступний у найбільшій кабельній мережі Іспанії - ONO
