Франк-Вальтер Штайнмаєр назвав точну дату проведення чергової зустрічі нормандської четвірки. 

Міністри закордонних справ зберуться для переговорів у Берліні відразу після свят, 11 травня. Глава Міністерства закордонних справ Німеччини підкреслив, що головною темою зустрічі стане обговорення виборів на українських територіях, непідконтрольних Києву. Крім того, представники країн нормандської четвірки обговорять погіршення ситуації на Донбасі і збільшення обстрілів. За словами Штайнмаєра, він буде виступати з чіткою позицією і зажадає зруйнувати усталену блокаду між Москвою і Києвом. 

На думку глави німецького міністерства, це необхідний крок, оскільки перемир'я на Донбасі не можна назвати навіть крихким – число жертв зростає кожен день, як і кількість обстрілів. Нагадаємо, що раніше експерти висловили думку про те, що Сполучені Штати фактично приєдналися до нормандської четвірці і грають найбільш активну роль в переговорах між сторонами.
