Хелен професійно виготовляє перуки уже 8 років. За тиждень може зробити від 50 до 300 одиниць.

На виготовлення рекордного виробу у жінки пішло 11 днів. Вона використала 1 тис. пучків волосся, 12 банок лаку для волосся, 35 тюбиків клею для волосся та 6250 затискачів для волосся. 

Перука тримається на підкладці із спецільної сітки та тканини, прикріпленої до велосипедного шолома. Загальна вартість виробу $2493.

Попри великий досвід, Хелен каже, що почувається виснаженою. Але вона чітко поставила собі задачу зробити рекордну перуку. 

Найбільшим викликом було знайти місце, де можна було б викласти перуку по прямій лінії, щоб точно виміряти. Зрештою, це зробили вздовж швидкісної траси Лагос – Абеокута.
