Президент США Дональд Трамп опублікував у своєму Твіттері змонтоване відео, на якому б'є людину, обличчя якої "закрито" логотипом телекомпанії CNN. 

Трамп оприлюднив відео з  хештегом #FraudNewsCNN ("сфабриковані новини CNN") та "FNN" (Fake News Network  -Мережа брехливих новин).

Публікація отримала рекордну кількість репостів (понад 100 тисяч) та коментарів (понад 55 тисяч) .

Оригіналом відео ймовірно є запис передачі  "WrestleMania", яка вийшла в ефір 2007 року, під час якої Трамп побився з промоутером, очільником федерації рестлінга WWE Вінсом МакМеном.

Разом з тим помічник Трампа з питань боротьби з тероризмом та кібербезпеки Том Боссерт заявив в ефірі телеканалу ABC, що змонтоване відео не є загрозою і зазначив, що "багато ЗМІ відносяться до президента не надто справедливо".

Як відомо, на своїй першій прес-конференції 11 січня Дональд Трамп посварився з CNN, назвавши телекомпанію "жахливою організацією", що публікує фейки.

Згодом Трамп звинуватив провідні американські ЗМІ - The New York Times, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN- у поширенні фейкових новин і назвав їх "ворогами американського народу".

Також президент США неодноразово критикував ЗМІ, звинувачуючи їх в упередженості та брехні.
