Компанія мережі мікроблогів Twitter вирішила "істотно підвищити прозорість" реклами та посилити правила розміщення політичної реклами.
 

Про це повідомляється на офіційному сайті компанії, пише Еспресо.ТВ.

"У найближчі тижні ми запустимо провідний в галузі центр прозорості, який запропонує всім побачити, що є рекламою в Twitter, деталі цих оголошень, і інструменти, щоб ви ділилися своїми відгуками з нами", - сказано в заяві.

Реклама буде маркуватися відповідним чином. Також керівництво компанії введе обмеження за цільовою аудиторією і посилить відповідальність за порушення правил. Політичну рекламу будуть супроводжувати дані про сумарні витрати на рекламну кампанію і про особу, яка її фінансує.

Раніше Twitter передав комітету сенату США з розвідки список з більш ніж 200 акаунтів, які нібито пов'язані з "російським втручанням" у вибори президента США. Компанія оголосила про блокування цих акаунтів.
