Сервіс мікроблогів Twitter прагне навчити невеликі видання як робити якісний контент та як заробляти на цьому гроші.
 

В першу чергу мова йтиме про виготовлення відео та проведення відеострімів на Twitter, пише Media Sapiens із посиланням на  Digiday. Як зазначає видання, в той час як Facebook відштовхує від себе видавців, Twitter намагається їх залучити на свою платформу. Очікується, що новий освітній сайт від Twitter буде презентований у найближчі кілька тижнів.

На ньому будуть представлені детальні інструкції щодо роботи з інструментами, дослідження та кейси від великих видань. У блозі також буде публікуватися інформація про функціонал, який буде цікавий саме видавцям.

Окрім того, сервіс планує віддавати творцям контенту 70% рекламних доходів. Для порівняння, Facebook платить 55% від цієї суми.

В 2014 році Facebook запустила та почала активно розвивати проект Facebook for media, який ставив дуже схожі цілі. Згодом соцмережа запустила ще одну схожу інціативу - Facebook Journalism Project, однак вона була прохолодно сприйнята медіаспільнотою через часті зміни алгоритмів соцмережі та постійне падіння охоплення у новинних видань через Facebook.
