У Бразилії у п’ятницю відбувся черговий загальний страйк проти запропонованих президентом пенсійних реформ, через який великі міста були частково перекриті. Про це повідомляє BBC.

Як зазначає видання, на вулиці вийшли мільйони працівників, у тому числі персонал громадського транспорту, банкіри та вчителі. Демонстрації тривають по всій країні, і організатори заявляють, що вони зосередять увагу саме на великих містах.

Учасники виступають проти перегляду пенсійного плану уряду, який буде проголосований у Конгресі наступного тижня і який може встановити мінімальний пенсійний вік 65 років для чоловіків і 62 роки для жінок.

У деяких містах, у тому числі в Ріо-де-Жанейро, Сан-Паулу і Бразилії, протестувальники встановили контрольно-пропускні пункти і спорудили барикади з палаючих шин, щоб заблокувати шосе і доступ до основних аеропортів. Поліція застосувала проти активістів сльозогінний газ. Водночас, зі слів президента Бразилії Мішела Темера, зміни необхідні для подолання рецесії.

«Це буде найбільший удар в історії Бразилії», – вважає голова профспілкової групи Forca Sindical Пауло Перейра да Сілва. Нагадаємо, у Бразилії поліція застосувала шумові гранати і перцевий спрей для розгону протестуючих проти пенсійної реформи біля будівлі парламенту Бразилії.
