Британія не має доказів прямого і успішного втручання у її виборчу систему.

Про це заявив речник прем’єрки Терези Мей, повідомляє Reuters.

"Ми вважаємо нашу виборчу систему однією з найнадійніших у світі. Я не думаю, що ми помічали якісь свідчення успішного прямого втручання в демократичні процеси Сполученого Королівства", - сказав він.

13 листопада Тереза Мей звинуватила Росію у втручанні у вибори,  кібершпигунстві, агресії на Донбасі та незаконній анексії Криму.

У своєму виступі прем'єр-міністр відзначила, що уряд Володимира Путіна намагається "підірвати вільні суспільства, поширюючи фальшиві історії, щоб посіяти розбрат на Заході".

1 листопада Британська виборча комісія розпочала розслідування у справі про фінансування кампанії за вихід з ЄС на тлі побоювань щодо можливого російського втручання у демократичні процеси.
