«Прокурорська служба Британії повідомляє, що люди можуть бути притягнені до суду за створення фальшивих онлайн-профілів з ціллю образити або принизити інших», - йдеться у повідомленні.

Королівська прокурорська служба Британії переглядає правила щодо онлайн-злочинів, які востаннє коригувалися у 2012 році.

«Ми бачимо все більше і більше випадків, коли соціальні мережі використовуються для сприяння як вже існуючим, так і новим злочинам, у тому числі сімейному насильству та насильству проти жінок», - пояснює представник служби.

За новими правилами створення фальшивого акаунту на ім'я іншої людини з метою «зашкодити репутації та принизити» може бути трактовано як злочин.
