Депутати парламенту Великобританії починають дебати щодо законопроекту, який дозволяє початок процедури виходу країни з Євросоюзу.

Як повідомляє AP, законопроект підготували після рішення британського Верховного суду про те, що процес Brexit заборонено починати без рішення парламенту, пише Новое время

Відзначається також, що законопроект повинен пройти через обидві палати парламенту до дедлайну уряду для початку процесу переговорів, тобто до 31 березня.

Раніше Верховний суд Великобританії заборонив уряду запускати процедуру виходу Об'єднаного Королівства з Євросоюзу без згоди парламенту. За відповідне рішення проголосували вісім з 11 верховних суддів.

Нагадаємо, в листопаді Високий суд Великої Британії прийняв постанову, згідно з якою, держава не може почати формальний процес виходу з Євросоюзу без голосування в парламенті.

У свою чергу глава уряду Великобританії Тереза Мей заявила, що незважаючи на постанови Високого суду Лондона, графік процедури Brexit не зміниться, після чого влада оскаржила це рішення у Верховному суді.

Під час референдуму 2016 року за вихід Великобританії з Європейського союзу висловилося 51,9% виборців, відповідно за продовження членства в ЄС виступило 48,1% виборців.
