В уряді Німеччини розглядають можливість послаблення санкцій проти Росії в обмін на співпрацю Москви на виборах на Донбасі.

Такий план підтримує і офіс канцлера Ангели Меркель, повідомляє Європейська правда з посиланням на видання Spiegel

"План передбачає в обмін на сподівану співпрацю Москви у передбачуваних виборах на сході України зняття частини санкцій", - зазначає видання.

Від Москви при цьому очікується вплив на сепаратистів таким чином, щоб були створені умови для проведення виборів.

"Моя позиція завжди була такою. Санкції не є самоціллю, і якщо буде прогрес в імплементації Мінських угод можна говорити про їх послаблення", - цитує видання главу МЗС Німеччини Франка-Вальтера Штайнмаєра.

Як повідомлялося, у тексті декларації саміту "великої сімки" вказано, країни  G7 і надалі підтверджують, що тривалість санкцій проти РФ чітко пов'язана з повною реалізацією Росією мінських угод і повагою до суверенітету України

"Санкції можуть бути скасовані у тому випадку, якщо Росія виконає зобов'язання згідно з домовленостями", – йдеться у декларації.

Також лідери G7 наголосили на своїй готовності посилити санкції проти Росії у разі необхідності.
