У Греції в четвер проходить загальний страйк на знак протесту проти урядової політики жорсткої економії.

Про це повідомляє Європейська правда із посиланням на газету Ekathimerini.

Організаторами страйку, який спричинить перебої в русі громадського транспорту і більшості державних установ, виступає об’єднання найбільших профспілок Греції.

В Афінах цього дня очікуються демонстрації під парламентом, де обговорюватиметься бюджет на наступний рік, тому водіям радять уникати поїздок у центр міста.

Громадський транспорт в Афінах працюватиме лише з 9 до 16.00, якщо йдеться про метро і з 9 до 21.00 – якщо йдеться про автобуси і трамваї.

Національна і приміська залізниця також приєдналися до 24-годинного страйку і на цей час призупинили надання послуг. В результаті залізничного сполучення з аеропортом Афін у цей день не буде.

На 4 години до страйку приєднаються авіадиспетчери, тому низка авіарейсів скасовані або відкладені.

Також у страйку візьмуть участь працівники портів. Частково не працюватимуть школи, лікарні і державні установи.
