У китайській провінції Хенань зруйнували 37-метрову статую Мао Цзедуна, будівництво якої, як повідомляв PRпортал, завершилося днями Про це пише Agence France-Presse.

За словами місцевих чиновників, причина знесення монумента неясна. Імовірно, проект не схвалив уряд.

На будівництво пам'ятника висотою 36,6 м із бетону та сталі, покритого золотою фарбою, пішло 3 мільйони юанів (близько 460 тисяч доларів).

За даними місцевих ЗМІ, будівництво фінансували декілька місцевих підприємців. Завершили статую в грудні, після дев'яти місяців праці, повідомляв портал HMR.cn.

У соцмережах ходить світлина статуї Мао Цзедуна з дірою в тулубі й без ніг, однак AFP зазначає, що не може поки підтвердити достовірність знімків.
