Голландський адвокат Герард Спонг вважає, що референдум щодо асоціації з Україною, який відбувся у середу, був незаконним.

Про це він сказав в ефірі одного з телеканалів, повідомляє видання De Telegraaf.

На думку адвоката, уряд мав би розпочати у цій справі кримінальне розслідування.

За словами Спонга, активісти "Комітету громадян ЄС" збирали підписи для проведення референдуму під хибним приводом – йшлося не про асоціацію з Україною, а протистояння з ЄС.

Адвокат нагадав, що і самі організатори визнали, що їх турбує не Україна, а відносини Нідерландів з ЄС.

"Організатори самі в інтерв’ю NRC це визнали. А це злочин, бо згідно зі статтею 98 закону про консультативний референдум заборонено збирати підписи під хибним приводом" - сказав Спонг.

Як повідомлялося, за попередніми результатами 61,1% тих, хто взяли участь у референдумі у Нідерландах 6 квітня, проголосували проти Угоди про асоціацію між Україною та ЄС.

Прем'єр-міністр Нідерландів Марк Рютте заявив, що його країна не може продовжити ратифікацію Угоди про асоціацію між Україною та ЄС за умови, коли значна більшість нідерландців проголосувала проти документа.
