Колишній президент Сполучених Штатів Америки Барак Обама ніколи не віддавав накази про прослуховування будь-якого громадянина США, заявив спікер Обами Кевін Льюіс, передає DW.

"Ні президент Обама, ні хто-небудь з представників Білого дому ніколи не віддавав накази про прослуховування", - зазначив він.

Льюїс повідомив, що правилом адміністрації Обами було повне невтручання в роботу міністерства юстиції.

Крім того, колишній заступник радника Обами з національної безпеки Бен Родс у соцмережі Twitter зазначив, що президент не може віддавати накази про прослуховування.

Нагадаємо, в суботу, 4 березня, президент США Дональд Трамп звинуватив екс-президента Барака Обаму в прослуховуванні його телефону під час передвиборної кампанії восени 2016 року. Свої звинувачення Трамп висунув на своїй сторінці в Twitter .

Втім, президент США не надав жодних доказів і не повідомив, що саме спонукало його зробити таку заяву.
