Для Кремля важливо, щоби під рукою завжди були «ідеологічно правильно» налаштовані російські артисти.

Продюсер ВІА «Земляне» і засновник фонду «Федерація» Володимир Кисельов та голова ради директорів РМГ Ольга Плаксіна направили лист президенту Росії Володимиру Путіну з пропозицією створити патріотичний медіахолдинг на базі активів «Російської медіагрупи» (РМГ) і декількох музичних телеканалів, зареєстрованих на компанію «Кремль Медіа»,повідомляє Media Sapiens

У листі зазначається, що медіахолдинг повинен забезпечити творчо-музичний ресурс для ідеологічних завдань, які стоять перед урядом Росії при роботі з електоратом.

Кисельов і Плаксіна пишуть, що зовнішньополітична обстановка не дозволяє РФ робити ставку на іноземних зірок шоу-бізнесу, і тому потрібно, щоб під рукою були «ідеологічно правильно» налаштовані популярні артисти Росії.

Також в середині липня про створення «музичного холдингу патріотичної спрямованості» повідомив заступник міністра зв'язку РФ Олексій Волін. Тоді операторам зв'язку і платного російського телебачення рекомендувалося поширювати музично-патріотичні телеканали в складі своїх пакетів, включаючи пільгову присутність в мережах.
