Міністерство юстиції США звинувачує групу американських фондових трейдерів і українських комп’ютерних хакерів у незаконному збагаченні на суму близько 100 мільйонів доларів.
Змова полягала в так званій «інсайдерській торгівлі» – отриманні прибутку на біржі за рахунок використання інформації, здобутої за рахунок проникнення до комп’ютерних систем Marketwired, PR Newswire і Business Wire. Ці системи поширюють прес-релізи для великих корпорацій, пише Радіо Свобода.
За даними прокуратури, від лютого 2010 року ця група отримала незаконний доступ до 150 тисяч документів з важливою для ухвалення рішень на ринку інформацією.
У цій змові міністерство юстиції США підозрює дев’ять осіб – п’ятьох у Сполучених Штатах і чотирьох в Україні. Американські резиденти вже заарештовані, українців розшукують за міжнародним ордером.
У паралельному цивільному позові, поданому Комісією з цінних паперів і бірж США, фігурують прізвища 32 осіб.
