Першу леді США Меланію Трамп ЗМІ розкритикували за те, що вирушила в Техас, який постраждав від урагану на шпильках.

Британська газета The Daily Mirror назвала таке взуття "найбільш невідповідним, яке тільки можна уявити" для такої поїздки, передає ТСН

"Вибір президента виявився трохи краще, - він у кремового кольору штанях, які більше нагадують штани для гри в гольф", - йшлося в матеріалі.

Daliy Beast також висміяло "недоречний" одяг першої леді США, зазначивши, що їй куди більше знадобилася б в поїздці "водонепроникне" взуття.

В офісі Трамп це прокоментували наступним чином: "Це сумно, що поки країна потерпає від стихійного лиха, народ переживає про її туфлі".

На знімках перед відправкою в Техас Трамп була зображена на підборах у чорних штанях і чорній кофті. Зверху на ній був бомбер кольору хакі, а волосся було розпущені. При цьому, коли президентська пара прибула в Техас, Трамп вийшла з літака в білій сорочці з піднятим коміром і в тих же чорних брюках. На ногах у неї замість туфель виявилися білі кросівки.
