Американські активісти заявили про початок тижню протестів, приурочених до інавгурації новообраного президента Дональда Трампа, - про це інформує  «Радіо Свобода».

Так, сьогодні, чотирнадцятого січня 2017 року, активісти руху за громадянські права повідомили журналістам про відкриття тижню протестів. Різного роду протесні акції (наприклад, мітинги, пікети, марші тощо) будуть тривати аж до урочистого входження Дональда Трампа на посаду, яке відбудеться двадцятого січня 2017 року. Відтак, вже сьогодні кілька тисяч осіб вийшли на вулиці американської столиці для того, щоб заявити про свою незгоду з можливими нововведеннями сформованої Трампом президентської адміністрації. Активісти, очолювані головою руху «Національна дія» Альфредом Шарптоном пройшли маршем вздовж Національної алеї: від сходинок Капітолію до меморіалу на честь Мартіна Лютера Кінга.

Серед проблем, які найбільше турбують активістів – ймовірна відмова від нововведень у сфері виборчого та кримінального права, охороні здоров’я тощо. Крім того, члени акції занепокоєні і можливим ужорсточенням міграційного законодавства. Зауважимо, що КонгресСША вже зробив перший крок, необхідний для скасування так званого Obamacare – системи медичного страхування, запропонованого Бараком Обамою.
