Турецька влада закрила 12 телеканалів через ймовірну загрозу національній безпеці.

Про це повідомляє The Associated Press з посиланням турецьку державну інформагенцію Anadolu.

Турецький медіа регулятор наказав закрити канали за можливі зв’язки з терористичними організаціями чи групами, які загрожують нацбезпеці.

Були закриті в основному про курдські канали, а також дитячий канали, що транслював мультфільми, дубльовані курдською мовою.

Туреччина 15 липня оголосила про введення надзвичайного стану в країні після спроби перевороту і закрила десятки ЗМІ за підозрою в зв'язках з ісламськими проповідником Фетуллахом Гюленом. Десятки журналістів і інших співробітників каналів були заарештовані.
