У Вашингтоні поліція здійснила перше затримання під час акції протесту проти новообраного президента США Дональда Трампа напередодні інавгурації.

Поліція затримала 34-річного Скотта Райана Чарні за підозрою у змові, метою якої було вчинення нападу біля 14-ї вулиці та вулиці Ньютона.

Повідомляється, що поліція досі шукає "інших осіб", замішаних у змові.

"Після ретельного розслідування, було встановлено, що кілька осіб планували зірвати заходи, що проводяться у період інавгурації, незаконним шляхом", - йдеться в заяві.

Сутички почалися ввечері 19 січня біля будівлі Національного прес-клубу, де прихильники Трампа зібралися на урочисту зустріч у DeploraBall напередодні інавгурації.

Повідомляється, що противники Трампа використовували піротехніку під час сутичок із прихильниками Трампа.

Нагадаємо, у Сполучених Штатах Америки 20 січня відбудеться церемонія складення присяги новообраним президентом США Дональдом Трампом, який напередодні прибув у Вашингтон.
