Папа Франциск ініціював створення спеціального Комітету, який займатиметься розподілом благодійних коштів, призначених на допомогу постраждалим від війни в Донбасі, повідомляє Радіо Ватикан.

Фонд отримав назву Папа для України. Головою благодійного комітету Ватикану призначили єпископа-помічника Харківсько-Запорізького Яна Собіло. Кошти зібрали протягом богослужінь у католицьких храмах Європи 24 квітня цього року. Тоді ініціатором акції також став Папа Римський.

На днях до України з офіційним візитом приїде державний секретар Ватикану П’єтро Пароліна. Як пояснює єпископ-помічник Ян Собіло, головною ціллю цього візиту є намір Ватикану висловити свою солідарність з українцями.
