В четвер юридичний комітет Європарламенту проведе слухання у справі євродепутата, члена праворадикальної угорської партії "Йоббік" Бейли Ковача, якого звинувачують у шпигунстві.Про це повідомляє угорське видання mno.hu.

Як повідомляється, комітет буде розглядати питання про зняття недоторканності з радикально політика.

Як повідомляє видання Mukachevo.net, якщо факт шпигунства на користь іноземної держави проти інституцій Євросоюзу та Угорщини буде доведено, Бейлі Ковачу загрожує від двох до восьми років позбавлення волі. Якщо доведуть, що справа пов’язана із розкриттям державних таємниць - термін ув'язнення може бути максимальним для Угорщини - до 15 років.

У травні 2014 року генеральний прокурор Угорщини звинуватив депутата Європарламенту ультраправої націоналістичної політичної партії "Йоббік" Бейлу Ковача в шпигунстві на користь Москви. Сам Ковач неодноразово спростовував ці обвинувачення.

Через припинення імунітету Ковач не брав участі у першому турі дебатів на початку березня, а тепер має нагоду навести свої аргументи і відповісти на запитання комітету. Потім комітет Європарламенту прийме рішення.

Нагадаємо, що угорська партія "Йоббік" відома не тільки проросійською, але також активною антиукраїнською позицією. Cам Бейла Ковач також відвідував в якості спостерігача так званий "референдум" у Криму, а також псевдовибори, організовані бойовиками на Донбасі торік.
