НКТУ должен международному каналу Euronews порядка 11 млн евро.

Национальный совет по вопросам телевидения и радиовещания аннулировал лицензию Национальной телекомпании Украины (НТКУ) для украиноязычной версии канала Euronews,сообщает ZN.UA.

Решение было аргументировано сильно завышенной стоимостью прав на создание контента, значительной задолженностью перед Euronews и невозможностью влиять на контент украинской версии канала.

"Задолженность на текущий момент составляет порядка 11 млн евро. В то время как правительство выделило бюджет НТКУ на текущий год в размере эквивалентном 600 тыс. евро", - сказал замглавы НТКУ Александр Харебин, также добавив, что на текущий момент идут переговоры с Euronews о долговых обязательствах.

12 января сообщалось, что Госкомтелерадио хочет отказаться от украинской версии Euronews.

Украинская редакция Euronews начала работу в августе 2011 года, и одна из первых передач (о праздновании годовщины Независимости Украины) вышла в подцензурном варианте. В сентябре 2014 года НТКУ сообщала о задолженности перед Euronews на сумму 176 млн грн.
