Україна посіла 63 місце в «індексі процвітання», оприлюдненому британським Legatum Institute. Очолює рейтинг Норвегія, у першій пʼятірці також – Швейцарія, Нова Зеландія, Данія і Канада.

За словами виконавчого директора Legatum Institute Шан Гансен, оприлюднений індекс відображає рівень «національного успіху». Автори рейтингу аналізують досягнення в економіці, можливостях ведення бізнесу, урядуванні, освіті, системі охорони здоровʼя, без пековому й оборонному секторах, захисті прав і свобод, а також доходи населення,пише Радіо Свобода

Згідно зі звітом, серед усіх країн Європи найбільше падіння цього року продемонструвала Росія. Вона на 68 місці, тоді як ще минулого року посідала 61-е. Аналітики Legatum Institute вказують на те, що на рішення авторів індексу вплинули дії Росії на міжнародній арені, а саме – анексія Криму й підтримка заворушень на сході України, а також ветування рішень Ради безпеки ООН щодо Сирії.

Польща посіла 31 місце, Білорусь – 53-є, Молдова – 89-е. Всього у рейтингу – 142 країни.
