Уродженка Чернівців Інна Вернікова здобула перемогу на виборах до муніципальної ради Нью-Йорка, які відбулися вчора, 2 листопада.

Як повідомив УНІАН голова правління Єврейської громади Чернівецької області Леонід Мільман, 37-річна ексчернівчанка балотувалась у депутати міськради Нью-Йорка від Республіканської партії на виборчому окрузі №48.
 

Мільман розповів, що Вернікова народилася у Чернівцях, навчалася у місцевій школі №41. Коли дівчинці виповнилося 12 років, вона разом зі своєю родиною переїхала на постійне проживання до США.

Вернікова працює адвокатом та володіє власною фірмою, яка займається цивільними й міграційними судовими справами. Вищу освіту колишня чернівчанка здобула у Флориді.
