За вихід Каталонії зі складу Іспанії проголосувало 90% виборців, які прийшли на референдум і змогли проголосувати.

"Каталонський уряд заявив, що близько 2,26 мільйона людей віддали голоси на забороненому референдумі за вихід з Іспанії в неділю і 90 відсотків з них проголосували за відокремлення", - йдеться у повідомленні.

При цьому агентство уточнило, що це приблизно 42,3 відсотка від загальної кількості виборців Каталонії, яка складає 5,34 мільйона.

Як відомо, 1 жовтня в Каталонії відбувся референдум про від'єднання. Мадрид оголосив голосування незаконним і намагався його зупинити за допомогою силовиків. За даними місцевої влади, в результаті зіткнень активістів з поліцією постраждали сотні людей.

До вечора офіційно оголошена кількість постраждалих перевищила 800 осіб.

Глава уряду Іспанії Мар'яно Рахой виступив з екстреним зверненням до нації, в якому заявив, що в Каталонії не було референдуму про самовизначення.

На 3 жовтня в Каталонії намічений загальний страйк.
