Депутата грузинского парламента от оппозиционной партии "Единое национальное движение" (ЕНД) Левана Бежашвили избили в Тбилисском международном аэропорту после возвращения из Киева, передает  Радио Свобода.
 

Оппозиционеры связывают произошедшее с давлением властей на оппозицию, отмечая, что избиение депутата – лишь один из многочисленных фактов насилия в отношении ЕНД, не получивших адекватной оценки со стороны правоохранительных органов. Член парламента от ЕНД Давид Дарчиашвили напомнил, что несколько дней назад офис партии сторонников экс-президента Грузии Михаила Саакашвили обстреляли в районе Дедоплицскаро, и за последние несколько месяцев было еще несколько нападений на офисы ЕНД и активистов партии.

Леван Бежашвили возвращался из Киева, где он провел встречи с группой грузинских реформаторов, работающих на Украине вместе с Саакашвили – нынешним одесским губернатором. У выхода из Тбилисского аэропорта на депутата напали четыре человека. Они выкрикивали ругательства как в адрес Бежашвили, так и в адрес Саакашвили. Полиция задержала двух нападавших. Своих имен они не скрывали. Возбуждено уголовное дело.

Левана Бежашвили допросили в МВД.
