В течение целых восьми лет российские власти прибегали к вмешательству в выборы главы американского государства. Как передает PRпортал, такая точка зрения вчера была озвучена Майком Помпео, занимающим должность руководителя Центрального разведывательного управления во время состоявшейся в городе Аспен, что в штате Колорадо, пресс-конференции. 

Так, Помпео задали вопрос о том, имело ли место в прошлом году вмешательство России в выборы американского президента. В ответ на это высокопоставленный чиновник заявил: «Этот вопрос мне приходилось слышать миллионы раз. Безусловно, это правда, причем РФ вмешивалась не только в последние выборы, но и в предшествующие им». Выступление Помпео можно было смотреть в прямом эфире на портале форума. 

«Они достаточно давно этим занимаются. Я не уверен, что Кремль планирует покончить с такой практикой», - сказал руководитель ЦРУ. Более того, он подчеркнул, что на протяжении последних нескольких лет Москва только усилила использование для удовлетворения своих интересов средства массовой информации. «Сейчас это намного проще, так как для распространения своих идей достаточно Интернета», - сказал Майк Помпео.
