Мін'юст Естонії підготував законопроект, який забороняє жителям країни з російським громадянством голосувати на місцевих виборах — ERR.

У проекті вказується, що естонська держава "не може забезпечити свободу громадян росії від впливу країни їхнього громадянства". 

За словами міністра юстиції Естонії Калле Лаанета, зв'язок із державою-агресоркою може бути аргументом, чому у певний період громадяни рф не повинні мати права брати участь в естонській демократії.

"Оскільки парламент Естонії та Європарламент оголосили росію державою-агресором, то ми дійсно вважаємо, що громадяни цієї держави не повинні мати можливості та права брати участь у виборах політичного керівництва Естонії", — заявив Лаанет в інтерв'ю ERR.

Він також наголосив, що аналогічні обмеження діятимуть і для осіб з громадянством білорусі.
