Руководство компании Facebook уточнило число пользователей, чьи данные были по ошибке переданы Cambridge Analytica.

«Мы считаем, что данные о более чем 87 миллионах пользователей Facebook, которые в основном проживают в США, могла быть ненадлежащим образом передана Cambridge Analytica», — говорится в заявлении, опубликованном в официальном блоге компании.

Ранее представитель Еврокомиссии по вопросам юстиции Вера Юрова заявила о жестких мерах в отношении компании Facebook в рамках скандала с похищением более 50 млн данных пользователей соцсети.

На основании собранных данных исследователи давали оценку политическим предпочтениям пользователей соцсети, которым впоследствии демонстрировалась реклама, которая была ориентирована на их интересы. Генеральный прокурор штата Массачусетс Мара Хелей сообщила о начале расследования в отношении руководства обеих компаний.
