Более 12 тыс. кандидатов зарегистрировались для участия в парламентских выборах в Иране, которые намечены на февраль 2016 года, сообщают в субботу официальные иранские СМИ, передает Интерфакс .

Это самое большое число с 1979 года, отмечают издания. Женщины, согласно официальным данным, составляют 11% от общего числа зарегистрировавшихся.

Выборы в парламент Ирана запланированы на 26 февраля будущего года. В новом парламенте страны, как ожидается, будет 290 депутатов. Срок их полномочий составит 4 года.
