Уряд Ісландії призначив нового прем'єр-міністра, так як колишній прем'єр Сігмундур Гуннлаугссон  подав у відставку на тлі офшорного скандалу.
 

Про це повідомляє Reuters, пише УП.

Новим прем'єр-міністром став соратник Гуннлаугссона по правлячій партії, міністр сільського господарства Інги Йоханнсон.

При цьому як повідомив лідер Піратської партії Біргітта Йонсдоттир, опозиція і правляча коаліція домовилися про проведення дострокових парламентських виборів. Вибори призначені на осінь цього року.

Як повідомлялося, Гуннлаугссон та його дружина стали одними з фігурантів розслідування міжнародних журналістів щодо  іменитих власників великих офшорів.

Напередодні тисячі ісландців вийшли на протести з вимогою відставки прем'єр-міністра країни.
