Международный союзи интеллектуальной собственности (IIPA) рекомендовал Торгпредству США вновь включить Россию в список стран, в которых активно нарушаются права на интеллектуальную собственность. На первых местах в так называемом «списке 301» Россия оказалась вместе с Китаем, Индией, Индонезией, Таиландом, Вьетнамом и Чили,сообщают Ведомости

IPA рекомендовал включить в список социальную сеть «В контакте», назвав ее крупнейшим распространителем пиратской музыки, фильмов и сериалов. «В контакте», на 100% принадлежащая Mail.ruGroup, фигурирует в этом списке с 2012 г. «В контакте» специально создана для того, чтобы ее пользователи могли закачать в нее контент, говорится в документе. Соцсеть доступна на многих языках, в том числе на английском. Кроме того, существует множество сторонних приложений, которые позволяют слушать и смотреть пиратский контент во «В контакте».

«В контакте» удаляет пиратский контент по требованию правообладателей, отмечают авторы документа. Но этого недостаточно для борьбы с пиратством, считают они. В социальной сети «Одноклассники» тоже есть сервис нелицензионной музыки, говорится в документе.

Также в «список 301» американские власти США намерены включить ряд крупных торрент-трекеров, таких как rutracker.org, rutor.org, torrent-games.net, rapidator.net и др.
