У розпорядженні "Обозревателя" виявився указ президента Петра Порошенка про позбавлення українського громадянства екс-президента Грузії і колишнього глави Одеської обласної державної адміністрації Міхеїла Саакашвілі.

Документ №196/2017 був підписаний 26 липня.

У ньому сказано, що Саакашвілі був позбавлений громадянства України відповідно до пункту 26 статті 106 Конституції України та статей 17 і 19 Закону "Про громадянство України".

Крім екс-президента Грузії в указі Порошенка сказано про позбавлення громадянства України ще семи осіб.

Нагадаємо, Саакашвілі втратив громадянство на підставі неправдивих даних, зазначених в анкеті. У документах, які заповнював колишній голова Одеської ОДА, було зазначено, що він не перебуває під слідством в Україні або за її межами, однак відомо, що на території Грузії Саакашвілі був заочно арештований.
