В непризнанной Южной Осетии проходит голосование на так называемых выборах президента и референдуме о "возвращении республике исторического названия". Об этом сообщает ТАСС.

"Все участки открылись вовремя, ровно в 08:00, готовы к приему избирателей по всей республике, в Москве, Владикавказе, Сухуми", - заявила глава "центральной избирательной комиссии" Южной Осетии Белла Плиева.

В выборах президента участвуют три кандидата: действующий "президент" Леонид Тибилов, "председатель парламента", лидер партии "Единая Осетия" Анатолий Бибилов и сотрудник КГБ Алан Гаглоев.

По данным ЦИК, в Южной Осетии открыты 72 участка, еще пять находятся за пределами "республики": по одному — в зданиях посольств в Москве и Сухуми, два участка — во Владикавказе и еще один — в Пригородном районе Северной Осетии.

В списки на территории Южной Осетии внесены более 32 тыс. избирателей, еще 6,5 тыс. бюллетеней отправили для голосования граждан за пределами республики. Голосование закончится в 20:00.
