Смартфоны Apple получили новые процессоры А9 вместо A8 у iPhone 6, 12-мегапиксельные камеры вместо 8-мегапиксельных, возможность съемки «живых фото» и видео в разрешении 4К. iPhone 6s Plus на 0,1 мм шире и длиннее, а также на 0,2 мм толще iPhone 6 Plus, а также на 20 г толще; его камера оснащена системой оптической стабилизации изображения. iPhone 6s на 0,2 мм длиннее, на 0,1 мм шире и толще предшественника и на 14 г тяжелее.
