В Пакистане возобновлен доступ к видеохостингу YouTube, заблокированному три года назад.

Запрет был введен в сентябре 2012 года в результате масштабных протестов в стране, вызванных размещенным на сайте видео, которое там расценили как антиисламское, пишет ВВС

Представители телекоммуникационного регулятора страны сообщили, что блокировка больше не нужна, так как Google, которому принадлежит YouTube, запустил пакистанскую версию сайта.

Новая система позволит пакистанским властям фильтровать размещенный на сайте контент.

Местные активисты приветствовали возобновление работы хостинга, однако некоторые из них потребовали раскрыть детали соглашения между Google и правительством.
