Тысячи противников и сторонников Милорада Додика, который является главой Республики Сербской, входящей в состав Боснии и Герцеговины, провели демонстрации в столице республики Баня-Луке 14 мая. Об этом сообщает DW.

Отмечено, что протестующие от оппозиции обвинили руководство страны в коррупции и скандировали: "Мило, ты вор!". За несколько сотен метров от них состоялась демонстрация сторонников президента республики. Некоторые из них вышли в поддержку власти, держа в руках фотографии российского президента Владимира Путина.

Демонстрация противников главы Республики Сербской стала крупнейшим протестом против Додика, который находится у власти с 2006 года. Оппозиция, которая объединяла силы с разных частей политического спектра - от центристов до ультранационалистов, - обвиняет Додика в коррупции и катастрофической экономической ситуации. Демонстранты со стороны оппозиции требуют от главы республики оставить свой пост и назначить досрочные выборы осенью. Напомним, 15 февраля 2016 года Босния и Герцеговина подала заявку на вступление в Европейский Союз.
