В России решили прекратить производство мороженого "Обамка" на фабрике в Набережных Челнах. На упаковке лакомства изображен темнокожий мальчик с серьгой в ухе и эскимо в руке. Об этом сообщило региональное российское издание Chelny-biz.ru.
В компании заявили, что партия "Обамки" была пробной, и новых выпусков не планируется, хотя в конце апреля финансовый директор фабрики сообщал о начале производства этого мороженого в промышленных масштабах.
Британское издание The Times назвало выпуск такого эскимо "примером повседневного расизма". New York Post написало о том, что мороженое "усугубляет прохладные отношения" между странами. В комментарии Reuters американский чиновник назвал выпуск мороженого проявлением антиамериканизма в РФ, который в последние годы "принимает дискриминационную или расистскую направленность".
Между тем, в самой компании отметили, что производят целую линейку лакомств с "основными расами людей нашей планеты".
