Суд американского штата Теннесси присудил телеведущей Эрин Эндрюc компенсацию в размере 55 миллионов долларов за то, что ее снимали обнаженной на скрытую камеру в гостинице города Нэшвилл, сообщает Би-Би-си.

Присяжные решили, что производивший съемку человек обязан будет выплатить ей 51% от суммы, а оставшуюся часть заплатят две компании, которые владеют гостиницей.

Инцидент произошел в 2008 году. Спортивного комментатора телеканала Fox News снял на скрытую камеру через глазок входной двери Майкл Дэвид Барретт, который затем выложил видео в интернет.

Ведущая подала в суд на Барретта и владельцев гостиницы, потребовав 75 млн долларов в качестве компенсации.

Сам Барретт признался, что тайно снимал Эндрюc на видео. По его словам, причиной этому стала жажда наживы. Он выложил видео в интернет после того, как сайт о знаменитостях TMZ отказался его покупать.

Барретт признал свою вину в преследовании Эндрюc, замене глазка в гостиничной двери и съемке видео. Он был приговорен к двум с половиной годам тюрьмы.
