В Южной Африке 5 мая после удара жирафа умер режиссер Карлос Карвальо. Сообщает PRпортал со ссылкой на изданые The Telegraph.

Режиссер снимал крупным планом животных, когда жираф по имени Джеральд ударил его. Карвальо доставили в больницу Йоханнесбурга, там он умер от полученных травм.

Владелец жирафа сказал, что животное останется на ферме.

Коллега режиссера сказал, что жираф появился неожиданно, и тот не успел среагировать.

Карвальо начал карьеру в 1992 году и стал известен благодаря фильмам о дикой природе. В 2003 году он получил специальный приз Каннского кинофестиваля, а в 2014 году – награду Африканской киноакадемии за картину "Забытое королевство".
