Верховна Рада проголосувала у цілому за законопроект "Про систему іномовлення України", внесений до парламенту Кабінетом Міністрів.

За відповідний закон проголосували 235 народних обранців. 

Таким чином, народні обранці підтримали створення державного підприємства “Іномовна телерадіокомпанія України “Ukraine Tomorrow” (ІНТУ) “з метою задоволення інформаційних потреб іноземної аудиторії, зокрема закордонних українців, захисту національних інтересів за межами України, формування та підтримання позитивного іміджу України у світі шляхом оперативного, об’єктивного інформування про події в Україні, офіційну внутрішню і зовнішню політику та позицію держави, діяльність державних органів”.

Відповідно до пояснювальної записки, метою законопроекту є забезпечення доступу іноземній аудиторії, у тому числі українській діаспорі, України, що знаходиться за кордоном, до об'єднання об'єктивної, актуальної та повної інформації про події в Україні.
