У лауреата Пулітцерівської премії Девіда Карсона (David Carson) в Twitter попросили дозволу на публікацію його знімків в обмін на посилання на автора.
 

Фотограф виклав у Twitter кілька знімків зі стрілянини під час футбольного матчу в Сент-Луїсі, США, яка відбулася кілька місяців тому в штаті Міссурі. Невдовзі в коментарях під постом акаунт від імені телеканалу CBS написав прохання про дозвіл публікації знімків «на усіх наших платформах» з посиланням на фотографа та газету, в якій він працює. Як помітило видання, помітки про верифікацію акаунту CBS на сторінці немає, але цей акаунт не вперше звертається до інших користувачів з проханням про безкоштовне використання знімків у обмін на посилання, пише Media Sapiens

 

Відповідь Девіда Карсона була лаконічною: «Ні, ви не отримаєте мої знімки безкоштовно, я професіонал, ваша пропозиція образлива».  CBS написав знову: «Нам шкода, якщо ви сприйняли нашу пропозицію як образу. В майбутньому ви можете відповідати вказуючи свою ціну». 

«Серйозно, ви ніби глухі. CBS є багатомільярдною компанією і ви питаєте дозволу на безкоштовне використання фоту в обмін на посилання? Ні. Ви працюєте за посилання? », - відписав фотограф. Втім, інші користувачі у коментарях поставили під сумнів справжність акаунта, який дописував під іменем CBS.
